At last there is a database of RURAL bibliographies available Offline. This has been produced to provide a research tool for those who have limited Internet access and/or do not have access to library databases.
- The Rural and Remote Health Database (RURAL) is produced by the Monash University Department of Rural and Indigenous Health.
- The information is relevant to health care providers, health planners, researchers and members of rural and remote area communities
- It is a compilation of eight databases which have been gathered together since 1975
- It contains 20,951 records
- The database forms a major contribution, on an international scale, to the understanding of rural and remote area health issues and care, and the practice and educational needs of health providers, health planners, researchers and members of rural and remote care communities.
- The main focus of the database is rural medicine, rural medical practice, education for rural medicine, Indigenous people’s health issues, men’s health, health care issues in rural and remote areas of the world and rural and remote area nursing.
- It is planned to update the information contained in the database annually.
