School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine

The SPHPM came into being on April 1, 2008. Under direction from the new Dean, the school was created to give the faculty a public health presence in the fastly growing public health arena.

SPHPM brings together the

• Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine (DEPM),
• Department of Forensic Medicine (DFM),
• Department of Health Social Science (DHSS),
• Monash Institute for Health Services Research (MIHSR), and
• Center for Obesity Research and Education (CORE).
