Wound care seminar attracts distinguished speakers

Following the success of Monash University’s Best Practice Wound Care Seminar in 2010, the School of Nursing and Midwifery is delighted to announce it is hosting the event again this year.

International and national expert clinicians, researchers and academics will report on current research, and a lively debate promises to be informative and entertaining.

The one-day seminar will feature two eminent keynote speakers: Professor Courtney Lyder, Dean of the School of Nursing, UCLA and Professor Zee Upton from the newly established NHMRC Wound CRC.

Other speakers include Carolina Weller from the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence, Professor Geoff Sussman from Monash University’s Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Science, Associate Professor Michael Woodward from Austin Health, and Miranda Cumpston from the Australasian Cochrane Centre.

The seminar will begin at 9am with an opening address from the Victorian Minister for Health and Aging, the Hon. David Davis.

It will be held at Monash University’s Clayton campus on Friday 15 July.
