Associate Professor Robyn Hill
I joined the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences in April 2002, working with a team of curriculum developers on the new five-year model of the Monash MBBS. During that time I collaborated with academic and IT staff on the development of a unique curriculum database for the MBBS as well as creating the framework for an online student placement system. Both of these initiatives have significantly improved the academic and administrative of a complex, integrated curriculum for more than 300 students annually. Following 18 months as Head of Undergraduate Education, School of Rural Health, Monash University, I joined the fledgling Gippsland Medical School as Director of Curriculum in October 2006. With the great team at GMS, and the support of our Clayton and Malaysia Medical School colleagues, we have already achieved the significant milestones of AMC accreditation and Monash Course accreditation. I co-chair (with Professor Chris Browne) the Gippsland Medical School MBBS Curriculum Committee, co-chair the Year A Management Group, and am a member of the MBBS executive. I represent the Gippsland Medical School on the Faculty Education Committee, the Theme III Committee and the Assessment Committee. I share the excitement of all my colleagues in being part of this wonderful initiative. I warmly welcome not only our new students, but also the team of Faculty, Campus and sessional teachers who will be working with the GMS in 2008 and beyond. |
