Balbinder Kaur
The Master of Family Medicine has been a great experience at Monash University. It has given me the opportunity to broaden my understanding of General Practice and to better comprehend the intricacies of primary health care. The programme offers a wide range of topics which has allowed me to focus on my areas of interest. The programme itself gives a highly interactive course material which dwells on the local practice of the candidate and allows them to apply their understanding with pertinent patient management issues. It is a highly motivating yet challenging course which encourages student interaction with supervisors, utilizing the medium of writing and audiovisual aids to achieve core course objectives. I am indebted to all people who contributed to this experience particularly Suva Private Hospital where most of the work is based. Apart from the achievement of the Masters degree during this period, I also must admit that I attained my biggest happiness in life, my baby boy Nihal. My course supervisors and the administrative staff were highly supportive and together we managed to get through both. Thank you Monash!
