Leah Falkingham specialised in microbiology and immunology research at the University of NSW before developing a career in medical communications and education in the private sector, including establishing and running a successful communications company for more than 8 years. She is an endorsed provider of medical education in the Quality Assurance and Continuing Professional Development (QA&CPD) program administered by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). She has been a member of various Boards and committees and is actively involved in visual arts. She recently joined the University to further her academic interests in medical education design, implementation and evaluation and is a member of the team investigating an intervention to improve the detection, assessment and treatment of childhood obesity in general practice.
