Dr Ian Chenoweth
MBBS FRACGP MFM
Ian has thirty years of experience as a practising general practitioner in the inner suburbs of Middle Park and South Melbourne. During that time his clinical special interests have been in the area of sexual health (STIs and HIV) and in care of the elderly.
He has also had an interest in practice management, as a co-owner and director of a small group practice (Middle Park Clinic 1984-2005), and as a member of the RACGP National Practice Management and Services Committee (1997-2000).
His association with the Department began with undertaking the Diploma of Family Medicine (graduating with Master of Family Medicine in 1993).
Since 1994 he has had a part-time appointment with the department. This was initially supporting the Post-Graduate programs and since 2008 has been as a Senior Lecturer in the Undergraduate program for Year 4 medical students.
