The Department of General Practice at Monash University invites you to attend a one day research symposium focused on knowledge translation for researchers, policy makers, and those working in general practice and primary care. The program includes:
Keynotes:
- A/Prof Dawn Stacey, Director of the Patient Decision Aids Research Group, Ottawa Hospital Research Institute
Knowledge translation to patients using patient decision aids and decision coaching
- A/Prof Lyndal Trevena, Associate Dean International, University of Sydney
Making smart decisions together: The role of shared decision-making in knowledge translation
- Dr Ian Graham, Vice-President of the Knowledge Translation Portfolio at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research of Canada
Knowledge translation, partnerships and community engagement
- Paper and poster presentations on important areas of primary care reform and clinical general practice such as knowledge translation, chronic disease prevention and management, e-health solutions, women's and children’s health, and medical education.
This event is approved with the RACGP for 12 Category 2 QI&CPD points.
