Victorian State Trauma Outcome Registry and Monitoring (VSTORM) Group

The Victorian State Trauma Registry was developed to capture information on all major trauma patients in Victoria in order to monitor the performance of the State's trauma system. The monitoring and evaluation of the statewide system for trauma management was designed to reduce preventable death and permanent disability resulting from major trauma. The Registry now reports on morbidity and mortality outcome measures at discharge and at six and twelve months post-injury which is invaluable in measuring the efffectiveness of the State's trauma system.
