Zanfina Ademi

MPharm, MPH

Zanfina completed her Pharmacy degree and worked with WHO as research consultant, on patterns of prescribing within Community Based Mental Health Centres and Primary Health Care, Kosovo (2003-2005). She obtained her Master of Public Health in 2006 from the University of Kuopio, Finland. Research for her dissertation took her to work for Public Health Institute, Kuopio.There, she researched characteristics of blood pressure and effectiveness of treatment and compared various ways to measure analgesic use, by utilizing data from Kuopio Ischemic Heart Disease (KIHD) prospective cohort Study.

Zanfina worked as a research consultant for WHO, Kosovo. She studied and assessed the current indicators prices in the public and private sectors using World Health Organisation/ Health Action International (WHO/HAI). Zanfina is currently undertaking a PhD investigating Pharmacoeconomics and health outcomes of cardiovascular disease. She has received scholarship from Monash Research Graduate School (MRGS). Zanfina is also involved in the university’s undergraduate and graduate teaching programme. Zanfina has presented research findings at local and international scientific meetings.
