Project Outline

This new work is focused on socioeconomic and psychosocial predictors of diabetes incidence. Assessment of risk factors for type 2 diabetes and the related complications is one of the key focuses of our research group. The inclusion of socio economic and psychosocial factors will further hence our capacity to understand vital aspects of the process leading to the development and onset of type 2 diabetes. Given the prevalence of type 2 diabetes is continuing to rise a full understanding of all aspects of the disease process are vital if we are to delay or prevent the disease onset.
