The university minimum criteria for currently enrolled Monash students to be eligible to apply for an internal course transfer are that they meet the restrictions and requirements listed below:
The faculty will determine the appropriate level of performance with a credit average being the minimum standard required to apply for an internal course transfer. Students should understand that an internal course transfer is a part of a competitive selection process, so the level of performance required by applicants to be successful may vary from year to year therefore a higher performance may be required to be successful. Please Note: Course transfers are not permitted into the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery. 1. How to applyDownload the Course Transfer Application Form from the Student Services Forms Page.The application closing date is 31 October each year. Applications open in September and must be lodged at the school/department student services Office where the course you are applying for is offered. Please note that applications for transfer into courses commencing in Semester 1 are for Commonwealth Sponsored, Domestic Full-Fee and International places. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in January/February. Students must re-enrol into their current course as notification of the outcome of application will not be available until after the closing date for re-enrolment. Students applying for commonwealth supported places (CSP) can only transfer when the faculty has commonwealth supported places available; this will normally only be at the end of the academic year for admittance the next academic year. 2. Accepting/Rejecting your course transfer offerStudents may accept or decline a transfer offer by formally advising the relevant school/department via email of their decision. If you accept the offer and you do not enrol when requested to do so the offer will be withdrawn. On completion of enrolment into the new course you must arrange to formally withdraw from your current course. For further information on withdrawal students refer to “withdrawal and discontinuation” section. 3. Fees associated with transferring coursesStudents undertaking a permanent course transfer will be fee assessed at the commencing rate of the new course relevant to the year the student transfers. For future years of the course, Monash University reserves the right to adjunct annual tuition fees |
