Mr Peter Jurkovsky
Senior Lecturer
Head - Business Unit
Peter is the Head of Commercial Unit and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Community Emergency Health & Paramedic Practice.
He is a qualified Paramedic and Australian Lawyer and oversees the contractual relationships held by the department through a range of commercial agreements.
His teaching areas include Professionalism, Law, Ethics, Bioethics and Community Based Emergency Health Systems.
Peter has a special interest in the non-emergency patient transport sector as a proprietor in the early 1990’s where he established one of the first companies in the sector and has followed the progress of the industry through its growth and regulation over the past ten years.
Qualifications:
LLB(Hons), Dip ParaSc, GradDip LegalPrac, GradCert HigherEd.

Alfred Campus update:
The Alfred Campus of the Department of Community Emergency Health and Paramedic
The Alfred Campus of the Department of Community Emergency Health and Paramedic Practice has two separate sections, the first being the Business Unit and the second being the Post Graduate Education Unit.
The Business Unit is located at the Monash University’s Alfred Campus at the Alfred Centre in Prahran. The Commercial Unit provides services under contract to the Australian Army, the Metropolitan Fire & Emergency Services Board and other organisations in addition to a range of consultancy services.
The Postgraduate Education Unit offers postgraduate intensive care and air retrieval paramedic courses and general postgraduate courses.
