Australian Prehospital Emergency Health Research Forum

  • Monash University Department of Community Emergency Health and Paramedic Practice (DCEHPP)
  • Australian College of Ambulance Professionals Ltd (ACAP)

APEHRF History and Aims

APEHRF is collaboration between DCEHPP and ACAP for the purposes of establishing, promoting and ensuring rigorous contemporary standards in the collection, presentation and publication of prehospital emergency paramedical research.

This collaboration enriches both ACAP and DCEHPP because the aims of The (ACAP) are to provide a national platform for policies and representation of ambulance personnel and represent the interests of the members throughout Australia on matters relating to professional prehospital care and associated issues, and the aim of DCEHPP is to provide for the research and education needs of Ambulance Paramedics and kindred personnel.

APEHRF Policies

  • Promote and enhance quality Australian pre hospital and emergency health research, with an international perspective.
  • Provides a national forum for the presentation and debate of contemporary prehospital and emergency health research.
  • Establishes links with similar national and international research forums and professional organisations;
  • Provide guidelines for the conduct of the research forum;
  • Strengthen the relationships between the journal of Emergency Primary Health Care and prehospital and emergency health research, to help ensure a reliable stream of quality articles in the journal;
  • Ensure a strong research session(s) at each ACAP National Conference as a feature of each conference; and
  • Demonstrates the leadership of the partners in the prehospital and emergency health field.
