We have world class yeast labs across several research areas at Monash University and CSIRO Clayton. We have experts working with the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe and the pathogen Candida albicans. We are linked into the research communities associated with each of these organisms: SGD, SPD and CGD
How can we help you? Yeast is a fabulous model for all manner of fundamental processes in cell biology. In addition, yeasts are used in biotechnological applications (protein production, protein function discovery, biofuels and other processes). Research areas and techniques are detailed in our lab pages.
